Terms & Conditions for 2023 Season
Strandhill Caravan & Camping Park & Rosses Point Caravan & Camping Park
The Sligo Tourist Development Association is the owner of the caravan parks at Strandhill & Rosses Point, Co. Sligo. Hereinafter the Sligo Tourist Development Association shall be referred to as “The Association”. The expression, the Association, includes the Operations Manager of the Caravan Parks, the Park Supervisors and their agents.
- Any person parking caravan/motor homes or erecting tents and awnings on the property of the Association does not acquire any interest, licence or tenancy of any description by reason of their occupation on the property of the Association.
- The Association is not responsible for any injury, loss or damage caused to property of the users of the Caravan Park whether by the negligence of the Association or not. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, it is a condition that all caravans, tents and awnings, together with all cars and vehicles are placed on the property of the Association at the exclusive risk of their owners, servants or agents.
- No caravan exceeding 8.5 metres in length can be parked on the property of the Association.
- No car or other vehicle is to be parked so as to cause an obstruction.
- Users of the Caravan Park must not cause nuisance to the Association or to any person using the Caravan Park and in particular:
- No person under the age of 18 is permitted to use the park unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult to the facilities block at all times.
- No ball playing may take place in the park.
- Radios, cd players, music centres, televisions, etc, must be kept at a reasonable volume.
- Any animal brought to the park must be kept under proper control and supervision and in particular, dogs must be kept on a lead, with dog droppings cleaned and disposed of correctly. (Refer to note 11 dog policy.)
- A speed limit of 10kph applies to all vehicles including motorized scooters, using the Parks.
- Teaching children to drive is not permitted in the park.
- Strictly no noise in the Caravan Park after midnight.
- The area around each caravan, awning and tent must be kept clean and free from litter at all times and in particular, a container must be placed under the waste pipe of each caravan.
- Holes must not be dug for refuse, caravan waste or for any reason whatsoever.
- Tents must be erected only in the allocated area of the park.
- Large tents are subject to an additional nightly charge of €10
- Gazebos are not allowed on the main site but may be used in the tent field subject to approval and additional nightly charges for same.
- Awnings are subject to an additional nightly charge of €4 per night and must be booked at time of booking. The same applies to sun shades, drive away awnings, shelters or any additional structure being erected on your pitch.
- An awning is a custom designed structure that attaches to a caravan/motorhome or camper van. A tent placed beside a caravan, campervan or motorhome is not permitted, this is a separate booking.
- Awnings, etc. may only be erected while you are in residence and at your own risk, they may only be left up for a maximum of 2 weeks at a time to allow grass to recover.
- Eco friendly ground sheets must be used (no plastic), and materials such as stones, sand bags etc, must be returned when you are finished with them.
- Sites will be allocated to users by the Association and it is expressly prohibited to move onto another site without the permission of the Association.
- The caravan park has a policy of recycling. To this end we would appreciate your cooperation in disposing of bottles, cans, plastic, paper and cardboard in the appropriate labelled skips and bins.
- Bringing waste from home or previous travels is strictly forbidden and may result in immediate expulsion from the campsite.
- Large items such as broken chairs, tables, tents, mattresses, awnings, rugs, clothing, dogs beds, etc. must be disposed of off site and are not permitted in the skips provided on our campsites.
- A caravan, tent or awning must be moved at any time requested by the Association and the only compensation payable in such circumstances will be a refund of any unused advance charges.
- Sites must be paid for in advance and must be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure. No refunds can be given for departing nights early or arriving days late. Please do not ask as a refusal may offend
- Any person failing to comply with the rules will be obliged to leave and if they refuse to leave, then the Association hereby reserve the right to remove that person’s property from the Caravan Park without prejudice to legal remedies available to the association for breach of those conditions and in particular, without prejudice to the Association’s right to damages.
- Where it is deemed necessary by the management of the site that Caravans should be brought up to a certain specification which would be acceptable i.e. Chassis’s painted, exterior of Caravan washed, curtains to be neat in appearance.
- The Association reserves the right to refuse entry to any person.
- Dog Policy: Both parks are dog friendly but dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Dog droppings must be gathered and disposed of appropriately.
Please note: We do not accept any breed of dog that comes under the Irish or UK Dangerous Dogs Act. These include:
- Bull terriers
- Bull mastiff
- Doberman pinscher
- German shepherd (Alsatian)
- Rhodesian ridgeback
- Rottweiler
- Japanese akita
- Japanese tosa
- Bandog
- Or strains or crosses of the above
- Anyone found defacing or causing damage to any building, equipment or property of the Park faces immediate eviction and/or prosecution. The pitch hirer will be responsible for and charged for any damage/breakages/loss caused by themselves or their visitors to the pitch or to any Park facilities or to other customers’ property.
- Data Protection. All information taken at the time of booking is collected for the purpose of processing your booking at Rosses Point Caravan & Camping Park or Strandhill Caravan & Camping Park.
- As part of our ongoing promotion of the Parks we may email you of late availability. We may also disclose your data to CampStead Ltd who may contact you by email, inviting you to complete a questionnaire and review regarding your stay at our park.

- By booking a pitch you agree to abide by the above terms and conditions and the Park information. We look forward to welcoming you to our parks and hope you enjoy your stay with us.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- All bookings require a non-refundable deposit of €50 to be paid at the time of booking.
- Where the booking value is less than €50, the full fee must be paid at the time of booking.
- Balance payments are to be paid a minimum of 14 days prior to your arrival date.
- Non-payment of balance due at 14 days prior to arrival may result in the cancellation of your booking.
- Where bookings are made less than 14 days prior to arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
- In the case of cancellations, refunds will only apply to the balance payment (i.e. the €50 non-refundable deposit will be retained) and where a minimum of 7 days notice is given to the Association.
- In exceptional circumstances, we may consider booking deferrals to a future available date in the same season. Discretion is left to the Campsite Manager in question and may be referred to the Operations Manager where necessary.
